Doctor, sookie and I had a bit of a lazy day today. After waking up and coming to the realisation that I had caught the flu off of my partner I decided a couch day was in order! After taking the dogs for a long walk and heading off to work for a few hours of course! I think we were all quite pleased to eventually collapse on the sofa with the duvet and a movie at lunchtime.

🏡Sunday 10th December 2017: The day Albert became part of our family🏡
I remember taking this picture so well as it was the first time since bringing him into our home on the Sunday that he finally settled down and went for a snooze 😴 It was such an amazing day going to @dogstrust_darlington and being able to bring him home with us ❤️ There was some adorable Chow Chow puppies also being adopted that day but we knew Albert was the most special dog at the centre on that Sunday as he was finally going to have his forever home with us 🐶🐾💜 The car journey home was very vocal (Albert’s habit of ‘singing’ in the car always accompanied our outings with him 🎤😂) and our other dog at the time, Buster, was so pleased to greet him into our home when we arrived back 🐶🐾 They truly were the best of friends and fully enriched each other’s lives- without Albert, Buster’s youthful side would never have been shown again so he truly made his final months the best they could’ve been ❤️ It’s amazing to see how such a lost looking boy blossomed into the confident and full of life dog Albert became throughout his time with us, creating memories that I will cherish forever 🥰
